LANDFILL WASTE

Approximately 11 million tons of asphalt roofing waste ends up in US landfills each year. Discarded roofing comprises about 7% to 10% of total landfill waste. eGreen roof coatings extend the life of your roof while helping the environment, and you avoid the high costs of tear-off and disposal.

CLEAN AIR

Buildings with cool roofs can help reduce smog levels. In the summer, urban areas become “heat islands” with temperatures 4°F- 8°F higher than surrounding areas. The higher temperatures result in increased ozone levels and contribute to smog and haze. Cities with buildings possessing reflective roofs will not experience this heat island effect as strongly.

ENERGY REDUCTION

According to the U.S. EPA, cool roofs can be as much as 100°F cooler than roofs covered with traditional dark-colored roofing materials. In addition, energy savings have been demonstrated to be as much as 20-70% with cool roofs.
